Alex looked at the bruise. "How many stairs?"

Aly pulled a face as she thought about it. "Three?"

"Well he and that guy Orion are going undercover."

"Hunny you got down all those stairs alone?"

"Uh huh. Then there were only three an' I tripped." Aly pouted, still in tears.

Aly whimpered again, curling close to him.
"Is she okay...?" Artemis asked quietly.

Oliver sighed, running a hand through his hair.

Artemis nodded, relaxing a little.

"I hate this whole thing those other boss's are dragging Will into...."

"Lets get her some ice for the bruise." Alex said softly, still hugging her tightly.

"Alright then." Artemis nodded, quickly heading to the kitchen.

"Because what if they get Will hurt?"

Alex went to sit with Aly in his lap.

"He's smart...he should be fine." Oliver said, hiding his own concern.

"It hurts papa." Aly mumbled, sniffing as she wiped her eyes.

"I know sweetie." Alex said softly hugging her closer.

"Here you go." Artemis said when he came back to them, holding out an icepack.

Connor nodded, "Okay Oliver..." He knew that would be all they could do.

Alex gave a small smile and carefully put it on Aly's bruise.

Aly whimpered, pulling a face. "Cold..."

Connor hugged back, relaxing against his brother's hug.

"I know little one..." Alex said softly as he hugged her tighter.

Aly curled closer to him, slowly relaxing.
Artemis smiled as he watched, sitting beside them.

"Okay Oli..." Connor replied softly, using his childhood nickname for his brother.

Alex gentle stroked Aly's hair as they sat there.

"Is she alright?" Artemis asked.

Alex nodded, "Yeah it was just the bruise thankfully."

"it just sort of came out... I've been thinking about the three of us when we were younger."

Alex nodded and kissed the top of Aly's head. "Yes."
