Old Friends

Connor nodded slowly, "I suppose I'm going to have to give the whole story?"

Alex nodded, "He wants to send Tyler undercover at Raven's as soon as he starts feeling better."

Jay stood at the stove cooking.

"Not if you don't want to..."

"So soon?" Artemis frowned. "Is that safe?"

Connor sighed, he figured it would just be easier to tell his brother everything and told him everything he told Will.

"I'm not sure, I've never seen Tyler's work..." Alex said softly, "But Brayden has a lot of faith in his skill."

Oliver frowned as he listened, moving closer to hug his brother afterwards.

"Even for someone great it's dangerous." Artemis said. "Like when I went up against Raven..."

Connor was looking down.

"I think that's why he wants someone to go undercover..."

"Do you want me to sort them out...?" Oliver asked quietly.

"It could still be dangerous." Artemis said, pulling a face.

"You don't have to do that..." Connor said softly.

"I know..." Alex said softly looking down.

"Are you sure?" Oliver asked. "I can if you want."

"Maybe we should speak to Brayden?"

"I don't want to cause problems for Will."

Alex nodded. "Yeah.."

"You won't Connor..."

"Last thing we need is him being unable to get out or defend himself if Raven finds out who he is." Artemis said.

"You sure?" Connor asked softly.

Alex nodded, "Yeah, I know..."

"Connor, he's our friend, not just our boss..." Oliver sighed.

"So we should talk to him."

"I know that." Connor replied.

Alex nodded, "Yeah."

"But you think it would be too much trouble for him to do something...?"

"Would he listen though?" Artemis asked.

"I just don't want to him to have those guys in his face for him telling them to stop..."

"Its Brayden... Probably not..."

"They won't be, don't worry about it."

Artemis sighed and nodded. "Is it worth trying at least?"

"Okay." Connor said with a small nod.

"Maybe..." Alex sighed.

"We'll sort it out." Oliver said softly, gently kissing Connor's head.

"Later though." Artemis said.

Connor relaxed and smiled softly.

Alex nodded, "Alright."

"Is that all that's bothering you?" Oliver asked.

Artemis went to say something else but froze when he heard someone cry out.

"I'm still worried about Will taking this job..."

Alex looked worriedly at Artemis, "W-What?"

"I know, but there's not much we can do about it." Oliver sighed.

Artemis frowned. "I'm not-"
"Daddy! Papa!" Aly called out from near the stairs.

Connor sighed softly and nodded, 'I know..."

Alex raced out of the room and down the stairs. "Aly!"

"I doubt he'd listen, but you could mention it to him if you're really worried."

Artemis quickly followed Alex, worried when he saw her at the bottom of the stairs in tears.
"Went down on my own and fell." Aly whimpered, curled up on the floor.

"I did..." Connor sighed softly.

Alex gathered their daughter up and held her close, "Where are you hurting little one?"
