I'm fine if I can fool myself tonight

Jacen moved closer to Frankie and curled back up, looking scared before his let his hair fall back over his face.
"Don't know..." Cole mumbled. "Scary one."

Frankie just stroked his hair.
Dante hugged him closer, 'Its going to be ok little one movies can't hurt you."

Jacen slowly started to relax again, biting his lip as he looked up at Frankie.
"The scary man in it kept hurting people..." Cole whimpered, curling up tight on Dante's lap.
"Everything okay?" Artemis asked from the doorway, having been passing on his way to his and Alex's room.

Frankie hummed softly.
Dante sighed and looked at his father, "Uncle Jacen let Cole watch a movie that scared him....."

Jacen slowly got up and went into his bathroom to be sick, the alcohol he'd drank finally getting to him.
Artemis rolled his eyes. "What is his problem?" he muttered, mostly speaking to himself. "He never used to be like this...."

Frankie started to follow.
"I don't know daddy...." Dante said softly.

Jacen groaned as he was sick, wrapping an arm around his stomach.
"He was always the 'good' one..." Artemis mumbled, sighing. He came into the room, sitting with Dante to try and help calm down Cole.

Frankie sat next to him.
"What mad him change dad...?" Dante asled, hoping Cole would settle.

Jacen pulled a face and laid down on the cool floor, closing his eyes.
"I wish I knew..." Artemis sighed. "He barely talks to me lately unless it's about work."

Frankie picked him up again, noting how light he felt.
Dante sighed sadly.
Peter paced his office as he waited for his guest.

Jacen groaned again, burying his face against Frankie's shoulder.
Artemis reached a hand out to stroke Cole's hair, smiling as Cole looked up at him.

Nathaniel hesitated as he stood outside the house, nervous. He took a breath before knocking on the door.

Frankie humed softly again.
Dante smiled softly.
Peter opened the door.

Jacen wrapped his arms around Frankie's neck, relaxing against him as he listened.
Cole smiled when he realised it was Artemis and crawled over to him for a hug.
"Hey," Artemis said, hugging him close. "You shouldn't let those movies your silly grandad put on scare you, they aren't real. Besides, you have Thor here to protect you while you sleep." he added when he saw the cat.

"Um...hello..." Nathaniel said nervously.

Frankie conrinued to hum as Jacen started to doze.
"And besides me and daddy as in the room across from you and you know we wouldn't let someone hurt you."
"Your the guy from earlier?" Peter asked.

"Love you..." Jacen mumbled before falling asleep in Frankie's arms.
Jasper smiled and nodded. "You're both safe here." he said to Cole before looking down at Kari.
Cole grinned, crawling back over to his pillow. He slid back under his covers, giggling as Thor curled up next to him.

"Yes sir." Nathaniel said, nodding before reaching a hand up to adjust his glasses.

Frankie held him for a while before getting up slowly and going to go get a drink.
Kari smiled half asleep, Gambit standing guard in front of Kari,
"So what did my brother tell you about me?"

Jacen pouted when he couldn't feel Frankie's warmth anymore and moved to curl up under his blankets.
Jasper smiled and leaned down to kiss Kari's head before petting Gambit.
Cole curled up with Thor and looked up at Dante and Artemis.

"Nothing really, just that you run a business."

Frankie sighed as he sat sown at the bar, his head in his hands.
Kari smiled softly.
Dante kissed the top of Cole's head.
"I see, what do you do for a living?"

"You alright?" Dom asked from where he was sitting nearby, a drink in one hand.
"Night papa." Cole said quietly as Dante kissed his head.

"I'm a writer..." Nathaniel said.

"No.... Jacen was kissing some other guy...." Frankie said as he was handed a drink.
"Night little one." Dante said with a smile.
"Really...." Peter said.

"He was?" Dom asked, frowning. "Why?"
"Night daddy and grandaddy." Cole said, smiling as Jasper and Artemis said good night back to him.

Nathaniel nodded. "Uh huh."

"He was drunk..... Again.." Frankie said.
Dante left the room with a smile.
"Who you write for?"

"Oh," Dom said, rolling his eyes. "Idiot..."
Artemis smiledand followed Dante, Jasper making sure Kari was okay before leaving the room as well.

"Whomever," Nathaniel shrugged. "Mostly my own stories, but occasionally for news...things." he said, meaning newspapers.

Frankie sighed sadly and took another drink.
Dante hugged Artemis before kissing Jasper's cheek.
Peter nodded, "Interesting."

Artemis hugged Dante back before going to find Frankie, wanting to check on Jacen, who he knew would be asleep.
Jasper smiled and wrapped his arms around Dante's waist after leading him into their room.

"How so?" Nathaniel asked, thinking most of the work he did was boring.
