Warfare of The Heart

Sheamus chuckled and shook his head. "That's what happens when most of the people in the place are stubborn."

"Alright." Evan said, smiling and nodding.

Carter rolled his eyes, "Not all of us are stubborn."

Nolee smiled and picked up bowls, giving them to the men who sat outside of their tents.

"Well no, I said most." Sheamus chuckled. "Besides, I didn't just mean your people."

Evan smiled and watched her before helping hand out the bowls.

Carter nodded with a grin, "Your an alright man, Lord Farrelly."

Nolee smiled, "Have you handed all of yours out? Do we need to go get more?"

Sheamus chuckled and shook his head. "Not to some people I'm not. It deoends who yeh ask I suppose."

"Um...I think we may need a few more," Evan answered. "I don't think everyone's up yet." He added as he looked around.

"I would ask my sister," Carter replied, "you loved her."

"Well then we'll go back to get more," smiled Nolee.

"She'd give a biased opinion," Sheamus smiled. "Not that I mind that."

Evan nodded. "Alright then." He said before turning to go back for more.

Carter laughed and nodded, "you're alright Celt."

Nolee smiled and walked with him, "So what about that young man you seemed interested in when Sheamus stopped you two from sleeping on the job, that African fellow?"

"Of course I am." Sheamus chuckled before smirking.

Jumping slightly at the question, Evan had to quickly stop himself to avoid tripping. "What...what about him? He's my best friend..."

Carter smiled, "And you two are with child?"

Nolee smiled, "It is alright if you tell me. I shan't tell my lover."

"Well she is..." Sheamus laughed.

"I...I'm not sure exactly." Evan said quietly. "I mean he is my best friend, but..."

Carter laughed, "You know what I mean, m'king."

Nolee smiled, "You like him?"

"Good, good." Sheamus said, smiling at him. "That always helps."

"Uh...I'm not sure..." Evan said shyly.

Carter smiled and handed him a bowl, "Here we go."

"You should tell him how you feel," Nolee encouraged.

"Oh, thanks." Sheamus said, smiling as he took the bowl.

"...what if he doesn't like me like that?" Evan asked quietly.

Carter nodded, "Sis cooked it with that other fellow who was here."

"Then you two can still be friends," smiled Nolee.

Sheamus nodded, glancing over at the other two. "Oh Evan, yeah he likes to help with those kind of things..."

"I guess..." Evan mumbled, frowning slightly. "It wouldn't be the same though."

"Is he into men?" Carter asked, trying to hide his eagerness to know the answer.

"I'm sorry," Nolee patted his hand.

"What? Oh...I don't know, I haven't spoken to him much." Sheamus replied, having been starting on his food when Carter asked the question.

"It's okay, I guess..." Evan said, sighing.

Carter nodded and started to eat, "So, tell me about you before my sister came into the picture."


Nolee hugged him lightly, "It will be okay."

"Uh...there isn't much to tell..." Sheamus mumbled, looking away slightly.

"Are you sure?" Evan asked quietly.

"You have to have a history," Carter replied.

"Positive," she nodded.

Sheamus shrugged his shoulders. "Of course, we all do."

Evan smiled at Nolee, looking a little more confident than he had before. "...is that everyone now?" He asked, looking around.

"So tell me," Carter grinned.

"I'm mosst certain," Nolee grinned, "except for uss."

"There isn't much to tell..." Sheamus mumbled, suddenly looking embarrassed.

"Well besides those who are still sleeping." Evan pointed out.
