Hate Love (for Nolee)

Lucas was playing on a public server, under his screen name of Assassin_Code, on a team of a four other people. He smirked, speaking into his headset, "I'll be leader guys."

Cody was playing under his screen name HeroOfTime and rolled his eyes as someone on the team he'd joined declared themselves as leader. He looked down at the screen name of the person before putting his headset on. "What makes you think you get to claim leader?"

Lucas looked at the screenname of the guy who had just joined. HeroOfTime was the name of Link from the Legend of Zelda. "Trust me, I know my way around a gun."

Cody laughed. "Careful, people might not take that the same way you mean it..."

Lucas laughed, "I hunt when I can. Anyways, I'm team leader."

"Sounds like someone's desperate for an ego boost..." Cody muttered, rolling his eyes.

Lucas rolled his eyes, "Lets just play okay?"

"Waiting on you..." Cody said, enjoying bugging people who couldn't do anything about it. "You're the leader aren't you?"

"Alright, which map are we playing on," he asked himself more so than the team. "Alright, HeroOfTime, you go on top of those rocks. SoulMan12, go ahead and camp out on the base. Make sure they can't get our flag. Imma go look for their flag."

"Fine..." Cody sighed, going to where he was told. He didn't bother complaining as it's where he'd usually go anyway.

Lucas smirked, getting to the others base and getting the flag. He didn't speak, focusing on the game. It made him feel like he was back in the war, sort of. "See, told ya I'd get it!"

"Well done." Cody said sarcastically. "Only counts though if you get it back to ours..."

"You just gotta cover me," Lucas smirked.

"what do you think I'm doing?" Cody said as he shot down one of their opponents.

Lucas laughed as he got back to the base, "Told you all we'd win!"

"That's because I saved your ass." Cody laughed.

"You did," Lucas smirked, "we make a pretty good team Hero."

"Right." Cody chuckled, smiling.

"How often you play?" asked Lucas.

Cody went quite as he thought about. "Every now and then..." He finally said.

Lucas smiled, "Every Thursday we should play again. Your the best teammate I've had in a long while."

"Oh...sure," Cody replied, smiling. "wait...today's thursday yeah? I lose track..."

"Actually I think today's Sunday. But my boss, god rest her soul, works us all to death so Thursday is the only day I really get off." Lucas shrugged.

"Oh, ok. I just usually don't pay much attention..." Cody said.

"Thats totally okay dude. There's this new guy at work and I have to make sure he gets settled in," Lucas laughed. "which means I gotta wrap this up."
