Old Friends

"We can do that." Jasper smiled, brushing his fingers through Dante's hair.

Artemis was sitting with his brother in his office, helping him with his work.

Dante smiled happily as he leaned against the fingers in his hair, "Yay."

Alex stood quietly in the hallway as he watched, not wanting to intrupt them.

Peter sighed as he reached his home, "Well that wasn't want I expected..." He yawned softly and looked at Aiden.

Tyler hated being stuck in bed, he felt so bored and he looked over at Evan again. "You asleep?"

Jasper smiled and took Dante's hand, leading him to their room.

After a minute or so, Artemis sighed and pulled Jacen closer to hug him, his brother upset again.

"Hmm? ...no not really." Evan mumbled.

"Why not?" Aiden asked him.

Dante squeezed his hand as they walked, feeling happy.

Alex sighed softly and went to go find Frankie for Jacen, he found Frankie finishing making a tray for Jacen to eat.
Frankie sighed and hurried up the stairs, knowing Jacen needed him. He rushed into the room, "Jacen.." He said softly.
Alex decided to finish the tray for Frankie and brought it up for him.

"I hate just laying here...." Tyler said with a sigh.

"I almost thought they would turn on me the moment I said I wanted to take the little one with me..."

Jasper smiled as he looked down at Dante, pulling him close to kiss him once they were in their room.

Artemis looked up when he heard Frankie, a guilty look on his face that made him almost look like a child who'd been told off by his parent. "I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to..."
Jacen didn't move, though he heard Frankie, his head on his brother's shoulder.

"It is kind of boring..." Evan agreed.

"Oh, yeah that's generally a good thing." Aiden said, hesitating before asking a question. "Why did you want to?"

Dante smiled as he wrapped his arms around Jaspers neck, kissing back.

"Its okay Artemis..." Frankie said softly as he slowly walked towards the desk.
Alex stopped in the hallway and waited.

"We don't even have anything to read or anything like that..." Tyler sighed.

"Well if it really is mine then no way do I want Raven near the little one... And either way I... Was going to take the little one back to Jacen." Peter answered softly.

Jasper smirked and led him over to their bed.

"I'm sorry..." Artemis said again, almost whispering, hanging his head.

"We could probably just ask..." Evan said.

"Wait, what?" Aiden asked, not sure if he'd heard right.

Dante smiled as he sat down on their bed and looked up at him.

Frankie gently laid his hand on his shoulder and looked at Jacen.

"I guess so... But their busy probably."

"I was going to take the little one back either way... Its not right Aiden..."

"We should probably get some sleep." Jasper said softly.

"Jacen, Frankie's here..." Artemis said quietly.
Jacen slowly lifted his head to look up at Frankie, in tears.

"No idea..." Evan sighed.

Aiden frowned. "I guess not..."

Dante nodded softly pulling on his hand so he could curl next to him.

Frankie pulled Jacen close, "I'm here."

Tyler sighed, "Are you feeling better?" He asked.

"I just keep thinking what if it was me and someone took Jake or y..."

Jasper smiled and sat beside Dante, hugging him close.

Jacen turned and clung to Frankie instead, burying his face against Frankie's chest.

"I...think so."

"That's not quite the same..." Aiden said.

Dante smiled and leaned close before slowly closing his eyes.

Frankie gently rubbed his back, holding his tightly.

"Well that's good right..."

"No its worse Aiden..." Peter said softly.

Jasper laid down with him, soon falling asleep.

Artemis sighed and carefully got up, staying quiet as he watched.

"I guess so." Evan nodded.

"How so...?"

Alex sat the tray he had brought up down and hugged Artemis from behind.

Tyler nodded and smiled.

Peter sighed as he tried to explain.

Artemis made a surprised sound before turning to hug him back.

Evan smiled and shifted so he was sitting up.

"...what?" Aiden eventually asked, still not getting it.

Alex hugged him tightly, he didn't like how sad he looked.

Tyler was holding his shoulder.

Peter sighed and rubbed his head.

"Sorry..." Artemis mumbled.
Curled up to Frankie, Jacen slowly started to calm down.

"Is it any better?" Evan asked.

"Are you alright?" Aiden asked, looking worried.

"Its not your fault Artemis." Frankie said to him as he smiled down softly at Jacen.
Alex rubbed his back softly.

"It still hurts." Tyler sighed.

"Head hurts..." Peter said softly.

"We were just talking about work stuff and I mentioned- your old boss...and he just kind of...freaked out." Artemis frowned as he turned to look at Frankie.

"You can move it though at least...right?"

"Maybe you should sit down..." Aiden said, trying not to look worried.

Frankie swallowed hard and nodded as he hugged Jacen tighter.
Alex buried his face against Artemis, bad memories of Raven.

"Yeah, its easier to move now."

Peter nodded slowly, "Yeah I think I will."

Jacen reached up to wrap his arms around Frankie's neck, leaning against him more.
Artemis sighed and hugged Alex close.

"That's good." Evan said with a small smile.

"You need anything?" Aiden asked him.

Frankie kissed the top of his head.
Alex breathed in deep, relaxing at the feel of his husbands arms.

Tyler smiled, "Yeah."

"Just you nearby." Peter said quietly.

Jacen relaxed against him before slowly lifting his head.
"You alright?" Artemis asked quietly.

Evan sighed after a moment, slowly moving to get up.

"Aren't I normally? It's my job." Aiden said.

"Love you." Frankie said softly.
Alex nodded though he stayed close.

"You okay?" Tyler asked.

"Your great at your job..." Peter said with a soft sigh.

"I don't want to lose you..." Jacen said quietly to him.
Artemis smiled a little and leaned his head on Alex's.

"Yeah, just need to stretch my legs." Evan muttered as he carefully stood up.

"If you say so." Aiden shrugged.
