First Night On The Job

Dante closed his eyes, trying not to cry.
Alex closed his eyes and looked away again.
Frankie followed him.

Mason shook his head. "You were better as 'Chris'..." he said.

Jasper went down to the living room where the others were.
Jacen was back, sitting with his arms around Artemis, who was leaning against him; half asleep with the kitten in his arms.

Dante looked up at him before whincing and seeing a needle in his arm.
Angel looked up when jasper entered.

Rowan smirked and pulled the needle back out. "Hey Chris." he chuckled.

Jasper sat down, though he looked like he wanted to take off like Artemis had done last time.

Dante blinked before rubbing his eyes, "Whats going on.... Why are my cheeks wet?"
Angel sighed, "So what do we do?"

Rowan was quiet for a minute before answering. "We were just telling you someone killed your parents..." he said, forcing himself not to smile.

"We go kill them?" Jasper said.

"W-What...?" Dante said softly.
Angel looked at Jacen.

Rowan slowly nodded. "Yeah... We're so sorry..." he said, glad he was good at acting.

Jacen shook his head. "We can't just go charge in and do that. I don't want anyone else getting hurt." he said, tightening his arms around Artemis.
Jasper made an irritated sound, swearing under his breath.

dante closed his eyes.
"Then what can we do?" Angel asked.

"We found out who did it too..." Rowan said, pulling a picture out of one of the files on Mason's desk, smirking when he saw it was of Jasper before holding it out to Dante. He hadn't known what files where on the desk and had just pulled out the picture randomly.

"We can still go there," Jacen said. "But we need a plan first this time."

Dante stared at the picture, "H-He did it?"
Angel nodded.

Rowan nodded. "He's been bothering us for a while, remember? He did it just to piss us off..." he said. They'd worked on the drug since last time in hopes that it wouldn't wear off when he saw Jasper this time.

"Do you have anyone else that can help?" Jacen asked her.

"How could anyone just do that?" Dante said a mix of sad and angry.
"Our brOther Leo......" Angel said trying to think.

"He's cruel, that's why." Rowan said. "He doesn't care."

Jacen nodded. "Don't you have a friend who's also an assassin?"

Dante rubbed his head, slightly in the back of his mind he knew that was wrong but it was hidden by the drug.
Angel NODDED. "Vitani."

"We can help you get back at him..." Rowan said, moving closer, putting an arm around Dante's shoulders. "A few days of training with Kendrick again should help you get ready..."

"Would she help?"

Dante started to nod, "What if i'm not strong enough.....?"
Angel sighed, "I think so,"

"That's what the training's for." Mason said. "Besides...after reading through the info we recently got on him, I found out he's claustrophobic, so if we can trap him in a small enough space, then you should be fine."

"What's the sigh for?" Jacen asked curiously, stroking Artemis' hair as he slept curled up against Jacen.

Dante nodded, "Ok...."
"She works for another boss...." Angel said.
Alex stared sadly at the wall.

"You can go start training now if you want." Mason said.

"Who?" Jacen asked.

Austin grinned when they arrived at Raven's. He grabbed Alex and dragged him out of the van.

Dante nodded.
"Jeremy.... The one that grabbed my son...." Angel said.
Alex made a nervous noise.

"Well of you go then..." Mason said.

"Jeremy who?" Jacen asked. "I've never heard of a Jeremy..."

Austin ignored him and dragged him towards the house.

Dante nodded and headed off to the training room slowly.
"I never got his last name he hides it."
Alex squimed.

"We could ask Mikey to find out..." Jacen said.

"Stop it!" Austin hissed, slapping Alex after stopping walking.

Angel nodded,
Alex froze at the slap and stopped.
