A Supernatural Hunt

"C'mon." Joseph said after a moment, walking again.

"Everything okay?"

Leo nodded and started to follow again.

"Yeah, everything is fine."

Joseph continued leading them to the demon's prison cells, simply burning the door away with his fire powers instead of unlocking it.

"Good."

Alex jumped when the door started to burn away.

Peter grinned.

Jacen quickly got up and shielded Alex and Frankie, worried it was the demons.

"Come on." Marco said, walking again.

Alex watched worriedly.
Leo watched.

Peter nodded and followed.

"Right..." Joseph muttered to himself when he saw the prisoners' reactions and stepped aside so their friends could free them.

"What smells like it's burnt?" Marco asked after a moment.

"Jasper! Leo!" Alex let out a happy sound, "A-Artemis!" He ran over to them.

"I think so..."

"Alex!" Jasper said, looking relieved when he saw him. "You're okay right? They didn't hurt you did they?"
Artemis smiled shyly at Alex before quickly going to check if his brother was okay.

Marco made a sound almost like a growl, moving faster as he headed for the cells.

"I'm fine, I missed you guys so much." Alex said softly.
Frankie watched.

Peter followed.

Jasper nodded, pulling him into a hug with one hand.
"Come here." Jacen said to Frankie, pulling on his arm.

Marco quickly stopped when he turned the corner, seeing Joseph with the others.

Alex hugged his friend back.
Frankie followed Jacen.

Peter growled.

Jasper grinned and let him go, shoving one hand in a jacket pocket.
"You should come too..."

"What is he doing?" Marco growled.

Alex smiled, "You guys have been okay right?"
"I will.." Frankie replied.

"I don't know..." Peter growled.

"Uh- ...sure." Jasper replied, shifting nervously.
Jacen smiled and helped him to his feet.

Marco created a shadow dagger in one hand, blending into the shadows.

Frankie smiled gratefully at Jacen.
Dante shyly moved closer to Jasper.
Alex froze, a bad feeling going over him.

Peter watched, ready to jump in when Marco did.

"We aren't going to just leave you here." Jacen told him.
Jasper absent-mindedly put a hand on Dante's shoulder.
"What is it...?" Artemis asked Alex.

Marco silently crept through the shadows towards the others.

Dante smiled softly.
Frankie nodded, he didn't really have anywhere to go.
"I smell him..." Alex said softly.

Peter watched.

"You're okay, right?" Jacen asked.
Artemis frowned. "Smell who?"
Joseph cried out, looking down to find Marco's dagger in his stomach after the shadow demon appeared behind him.

"Traitor!" Marco hissed.

"J-Joseph!" Leo cried out as he quickly moved closer.
Alex whimpered when he saw Marco.
Frankie growled and attacked Marco.
Dante moved to help Leo.

Joseph put a hand to his stomach, stumbling backwards before leaning against the wall.
Marco grinned before quickly turning to try and stop Frankie.
Seeing the demon, Artemis moved closer to Jacen out of habit, used to being protected by him.

Dante started to focus fae magic to try and help Joseph.
Leo howled loudly as he tried to help.
Alex shifted and hide in his pocket.
Frankie knocked into Marco.

"Don't." Joseph muttered, trying to push his hand away. "Just get out..."
"Alex!" Artemis said quickly hiding behind his brother with the kitsune.
"Get off me!" Marco snapped at Frankie, only for Jasper to attack him too.

"I can help." Dante said as he tried to continue.
"We're not leaving you Joseph!" Leo said, panicking.
Peter joined to fray.
Alex was scared and hated that he was.

"Do you want to all end up stuck here?" Joseph asked angrily.
Jasper turned to Peter, glaring at him. "You're still here?"
"It-it's okay..." Artemis said nervously, petting his head. He hadn't even realised one of the others was hurt.
