A Supernatural Hunt

"Oh...yeah." Jacen frowned.

"Just forget about it." Dominic said quickly.

"Sorry..." Alex quickly said at the frown.

Dante nervously ran a hand through his head, "Your mad..."

"It's fine." Jacen replied.

"No...it's not that." Dominic mumbled, nervously brushing a hand through his hair.

"I had a brother too... I haven't told Arty yet... But I had a big brother..." Alex said as he titled his head a little.

"What is it Dom?" Dante asked his big brother.

"You did? ...what was his name?" Jacen asked quietly.

"Uh- nothing."

"His name was Chris... H-He... He's the only reason I even survived the attack by the demons... He made sure I was hidden..." Alex answered softly.

"What is it Dom?" Dante asked again.

"I'm sorry." Jacen said quietly. "...I tried to protect Arty."

"Don't worry about it." Dominic told him, just as embarrassed about what had happened as Dante had been.

Alex sadly gave Jacen a hug.

Dante blushed. "So... How have you and home been?"

Jacen hugged him back, leaning his head on him.

"I just got back from the demons." Dominic mumbled.

Alex blinked sadly, emotions fighting at his very core to come out.

"W-What! Are you okay Dom? Please tell me your okay? How did they catch you?"

"Alex?" Jacen said, looking worried.

"I'm fine...now." Dominic sighed. "A friend helped me get back to the healer."

The sound of his name being called shook him out of the emotional rumble and he looked at the angel.

"How did they catch you Dom... Did you go looking for me..." Dante asked with a guilty look.

"What is it?" Jacen asked.

Dominic hesitated before slowly nodding. "Yeah..."

"S-Sorry... Just too much... R-Right now..." Alex answered, sounding close to crying.

"I-I'm so sorry Dom... I should of contacted home so you wouldn't of been worried... But I can't go through with this whole marriage to the elves... I can't marry someone just because they want a fae prince in the elf court and..." Dante stopped slowly he had another reason he couldn't do it now, he was in love.

"It's alright," The angel said softly, sitting up to look at him. "We don't have to talk about it."

"It's fine Dante." Dominic told him. "I think... I think they were changing their minds because you left."

Alex nodded slowly before burying his face in the angel's shoulder, though he still didn't cry.

"Y-you mean mom and dad are going to try and talk them out of it?" Dante asked.

"It's okay..." Jacen said, rubbing his back.

"I think they might." Dominic nodded. "But they need to think of another option..."

Alex didn't want to break down completely while he was so far from home, but he didn't know how long he could hold it in.

Dante nodded as he bit his lip.

Jacen hugged him close, not knowing how else to help.

"We'll find a way..." Dominic sighed.

Alex curled into the hug, trying to calm himself.

Dante nodded sadly, looking upset.

Adric sighed as he knocked on the door to the queen's room.

"Just relax..." Jacen said, wishing he had powers like his brothers so he could help calm people too.

"At least...I hope so." Dominic sighed.

Carmen got up from where she was sitting and opened the door. "Yes?"

Alex took a few deep breathes, he was managed to calm down some.

Dante bit his lip, "I... Think I'm in love brother..."

"The elves are... Unhappy with your wishing to change details..."

"Are you alright?" Jacen asked eventually.

"Oh..." Dominic smiled, but there was concern in his eyes. "You mean the vampire, don't you?"

Carmen sighed and shook her head. "Of course they don't..."

"I... Think so..." Alex answered softly.

Dante bit his lip and nodded, "Jasper... "

Adric sighed, "We are still trying, but we will need either something else to offer or the prince will have to go through with it..."

Jacen nodded and gave a small smile.

"Right, Jasper..." Dominic mumbled, brushing a hand through his long hair.

"Damn." Carmen rolled her eyes. "What else can we offer though?"
