Old Friends

"I... You sure?" Peter asked quietly.

Dante hugged back happily. "Love you."

Aiden shrugged his shoulders. "It's your choice, but it's not like anyone can tell you off if you don't do it straight away."

"I love you too." Jasper grinned.

"True..." Peter said with a sigh.

Dante kissed his cheek again before looking down at the box.

"What's wrong with that?" Aiden asked. "You don't want to rest?"

"You like it...?" Jasper asked as he watched him.

"I... do wanna rest..." Peter murmured tiredly.

"I love it, its perfect!" Dante smiled.

"So then rest, work can wait." Aiden said softly.

Jasper smiled and kissed his head. "...there was one thing though."

"Okay..." Peter said softly, putting his coffee down.

"What is it?" Dante asked curiously.

Aiden gave a small smile, putting a hand on Peter's shoulder.

"Well your father made it very clear that if I ever try call him 'dad'...he'd probably kill me..." Jasper said, almost nervously.

Peter gave a small smile back.

Dante giggled softly, before kissing his cheek. "Don't worry I won't let daddy hurt you." He carefully pulled the ring out of the box.

Aiden sighed, hesitating for a moment before hugging Peter.

"Thankfully your uncle didn't respond quite the same way," Jasper chuckled. "He did say it would be a bit odd though with the age difference..."

Peter swallowed softly before leaning into the hug.

Dante smiled, "I'm so happy Jasper, I love you." He said softly, he couldn't wait to show his ring to his papa."

"Here, have your coffee." Aiden said as he handed his boss his drink. "Sit, relax. Assuming you know how to do that." He added with a chuckle.

"I love you too." Jasper said, leaning closer to kiss him.

"What is this thing you call relaxing?" Peter said with a soft laugh, it sounded rusty like he hadn't used it in a while.

Dante kissed back happily.
Alex yawned as he walked into the kitchen looking for Artemis.

"Well, you'll see if you come and sit down." Aiden said.

Artemis was sitting at the table in the kitchen, frowning as he spoke to someone on the phone.

Peter nodded and sat down on a nearby couch.

Alex walked in "Arty?" He asked quietly.

Aiden smiled before turning to finish actually making his own coffee.

Artemis looked up at him, giving a small smile before it faded again.

Peter sipped slowly on his coffee.

Alex went over to him and touched his shoulder.

Tyler looked at his phone.

Aiden came over with his own and sat beside him.

"What...?" Artemis asked quietly.

Peter gave a small smile before taking a drink.

"What's going on Arty?" Alex asked softly.

Aiden sat silently, drinking his own drink. He wanted to say something to Peter, but had no idea what to say.

Artemis held up a hand to tell him to wait, finishing on the phone before putting it down on the table beside him with a sigh.

Peter sat staring at his coffee, he wanted to say something.

"What is it Arty?" Alex asked worriedly.

After he'd finished his coffee, Aiden got up and got rid of his empty cup, waiting a minute before going to sit back down.

"Joseph called." Artemis said quietly.

Peter put his half empty cup on the table before looking over at him.

"About what?" Alex asked again, frowning slightly with worry.

"Peter...?"

"Vincent..." Artemis frowned, speaking quietly. "Apparently he's not well."

"Yeah... Aiden?"

Alex frowned, "Oh no... I hope its nothing to bad..." He said softly.

Dante entered the kitchen, trying to help carry the empty food tray.
