Old Friends

Orion rolled his eyes, "I think its a noble move old man."

Dante sighed and told him what his father had said.

"Noble?" Alistair said, raising an eyebrow. "How's it noble to drop a business you love for someone? Don't ya think that if a person loves you, they should accept what you do for a living, not try change it?"

"You know, I'm surprised the two of them get anywhere with how stubborn they are." Jasper said, rolling his eyes. "Must be a common thing in Westmores."

"He didn't drop his business old man, if he had old dad here would be running it and besides all he did was not go after that Westmore guy."

Dante pouted at that last part, "Hey..."

"Only a matter of time before he does though if he's doing things like that..." Alistair said, shrugging his shoulders.

"I didn't mean you." Jasper said reaching a hand out to put it on Dante's cheek.

Orion rolled his eyes at him.

Dante leaned into Jasper's hand.

"Don't do that." Alistair sighed. "You of all people should know the effects of a boss getting so attached to someone that it effects their work. Just look at your father." He added, smirking as he glanced at Raven.

Jasper smiled and moved closer, leaning down to kiss Dante's head. "My family's known the Westmores for a long time."

Peter pushed the door open loudly, "Talking about my old friend Raven?"

"Really?" Dante asked as he leaned against him.

"Ah Peter, nice of you to drop in." Alistair said as he turned to look.
"What are you doing here?" Will asked.

"Yeah, my parents knew theirs."

"I heard you lot have my child." Peter said as he looked around the room.

"Did you know my grandparents?" Dante asked curiously, "Dad and uncle Jacen refuse to talk about them..."

"What makes you so sure it's even yours?" Will asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Sort of...I saw them occasionally, when I wasn't being trained to be an assassin." Jasper said.

Peter gave a small proud smirk, "I was his first."

"Do you know what happened to them?" Dante asked.

"Still doesn't mean it's definitely yours. He has Frankie, remember?" Will said.

Jasper hesitated before nodding. "Yeah... Joseph should too."

Raven growled, "It can't be Frankie's..."

"What happened? Why won't anyone tell me Jasper?"

"And why not huh?" Alistair asked. "Because it'll prove he doesn't want you?"

"Because from what I've heard, Artemis saw what happened to them and hates talking about it."

Raven growled dangerously.

Dante nodded slowly, a worried look on his face.

"What? I was just asking a question." Alistair said.
Will rolled his eyes at the two, turning back to Peter. "You know you could find out if it's really yours or not..."

"I don't know the whole story though, just what my parents know really." Jasper said.

Peter nodded, "Yeah I could."

"And what was that?" Dante asked softly.

"Your...papa is a doctor, right?" Will asked Orion. "Would he be able to help with that if Peter wanted it?"

"What...? What they told me?"

Orion nodded, "Yeah, pretty sure he can. Its not hard to get the test."

Dante nodded.

"Well why don't you do that then Peter? It can't hurt..." Will said.

"Oh, um..." Jasper said before looking down at Kari. "Probably better to save it for later..."

Peter nodded, "Of course. Aiden will give our number for your papa and we'll talk to him."

Dante nodded before hugging Kari.

"Well that's one thing sorted at least..." Will muttered before speaking out loud again. "So what is the purpose of having the kid anyway?"

"Are the others still asleep?" Jasper asked.

"My dad's ego..." Orion answered with a smirk.

Dante nodded. "Cole is up and with papa and Soren is still asleep."

"How so?" Will asked curiously, as if Raven wasn't there.

"Oh, okay." Jasper nodded. "Why don't I go check on them while you help your dad?"

"Hey!" Raven snapped at them.

Dante nodded, "Okay." He kissed Jasper's cheek.
