Old Friends

"How so?" Oliver asked, curious.
"Ah yes, I have heard what happened to Mason." Alistair said, nodding slowly. "And- I have also heard what happened to you." He added, smirking at Mason.

"I hope not..." Artemis said quietly.

"One of them feels so soulless brother." Connor said, not able to explain his vibes well.
Raven glared at Alistair. "Oh you mean that mass attack because my old men were stupid..."

Dante sighed sadly.
Kari poked her father, "We give papa gift soon?" She whispered.

Oliver raised an eyebrow. "How so?"
Alistair chuckled, the sound cold. "If that's what you want to call it. They won't do that to me though."

"He was asleep at least, last time I checked." Artemis said.
"Soon." Jasper said nodding.

Connor sighed and tried to explain.
Raven leaned back, "And what's to stop them? A lot of assassin's work for that family and a few belong to the James family..."

Dante nodded, "That's good right?"
Kari smiled and nodded.

Oliver frowned and held an arm out to his brother. "Come here..." He said softly.
"I doubt the Westmores will let the James family or any of their others come, not once they know I'm here." Alistair said confidently.

Artemis nodded. "Frankie said neither of them slept much while they were away..."

Connor went over to his brother.
Orion rolled his eyes, "Don't think that will stop the James's old man."

Dante sighed, "And probably didn't eat much..."

Oliver smiled and stood up to hug him. "I'm sure it'll be alright," He said. "Will's smart."
"We'll see..." Alistair said. "But I have a feeling that the Westmores will be too scared to come after me."

"I don't think so." Artemis sighed.

"But why those people brother?" Connor asked.
Orion rolled his eyes, "Whatever."

Dante nodded slowly.

"I...I'm not sure." Oliver admitted, frowning.
"Do not 'whatever' me boy." Alistair growled.

"I'm not sure what to do..." Artemis sighed.

Connor sighed and ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh.
Orion smirked at him, "I'll whatever you if I want to old man."

"We just have to look harder, we all need to start looking not just uncle Jacen."

"You alright?" Oliver asked curiously.
"You should know to respect your elders." Alistair said, giving him a cold look. "Or was your father too busy worrying about 'his' pet?"

"He kept telling us not to..."

Connor nodded slowly, "Yeah, guess I'm just still worried."
Raven glared, "Oh he was taught, he have a rebelous streak thanks to his papa..."
Orion glared at his father for even daring to talk about his papa.

Daddy..." Dante said softly, "I think in this matter it would be best with more looking."

Oliver nodded and hugged his brother close.
"And where were you when this happened? Still chasing 'your' Frankie?"

"I know, but- " Artemis said, frowning. He wanted to help, but he didn't want to upset his boss, who just happened to be his brother.

Connor leaned against hi,
Frankie growled lowly.
Orion gritted his teeth before standing up, though he didn't have much height.

Dante sighed, he knew how his father was feeling.

"Should we go check on him...?"
Alistair raised an eyebrow, looking more amused than worried at all.
"We should be focusing on our enemy." Will pointed out.

"...maybe you could help me convince him to let us?" Artemis said.

"Can we?" Connor asked his brother.
Orion huffed before nodding, showing he agreed with Will.

"I'll try." Dante answered.

"If you want to." Oliver said, nodding.
"Where is this child being kept by the way?" Will asked.

"Thank you." Artemis said with a small smile.

Connor nodded, "Yeah."
"With my papa." Orion answered.

Dante smiled back.

"Alright." Oliver said before letting go of his brother.
"Oh," Will nodded. "Wait...if it's possibly Peter's, why isn't he involved?"

"Maybe we could go see him after you eat?"

Connor headed back downstairs.
"Blame his little brother for changing him." Raven snorted.

Dante nodded, "Yeah."

Oliver sighed quietly before following him.
"What, why?" Will asked.

Artemis nodded and got up to get a drink before going outside.

Connor peaked into the room.
"Supposedly, he had a change of heart thanks to his brother and that bodyguard of his."

Dante finished his food quickly.

"How so?" Will asked, not knowing about it.

"Something wrong?" Jasper asked, having been too busy with Kari to hear Dante talking to Artemis.

Orion told Will the story he had heard.

"Dad's worried about uncle Jacen..."

"Oh..." Will said, frowning.
"What a waste." Alistair muttered, rolling his eyes.

"Isn't he always?" Jasper said. "What about this time?"
