The Time For New Blood

"I know that," Jacen said. "He occasionally has moments where he won't shut up though."

"At least he's a good guy. Ever been tortured, or at least what they thought was torture, by a loud mouth?" Nolee chuckled.

"Um...no." Jacen said. "Why? Have you?"

"Ted DiBiase jr and Randy Orton," nodded Nolee.

"Oh," Jacen chuckled. "Those two. They aren't very scary at all, unless Orton's pissed off."

"I'm not afraid of anything," Nolee boasted.

"Everyone's afraid of something." Jacen said.

"I'm not," shrugged Nolee.

"Not that you know of," Jacen said. "Or at least not that you'll admit."

Nolee fell silent, "I'm...I'm not..."

"Okay..." Jacen shrugged. "But it's better to admit it."

"Mark Calloway," was her soft, almost unhearable response.

"Calloway...?" Jacen asked nervously. "I've heard things about him, but I've never..."

Pain and anguish flashed in Nolee's eyes, "I...I don't want to talk about it..."

"Okay, okay." Jacen said, seeing the look. "We won't."

Nolee wiped at the tears that had come to her eyes.

"Hey..." Jacen said softly, moving closer to Nolee. "Are you okay?"

Nolee flinched, looking away from him. "No...I'm a scared little girl..."

"What?" Jacen asked, confused. "Nolee..." He said, hesitantly pulling her into a hug.

Nolee closed her eyes, bad memories flooding back to her.

Not knowing what else to do, Jacen just held her close.

"He's a bad man Jacen...I'm going to kill him myself..." Nolee softly whispered.

"I don't think that's such a smart idea..." Jacen said. "Not without help."

"I have to do it myself," Nolee said, looking up at him. "I do."

"So get help to do it..." Jacen shrugged. "You can't do it without some sort of plan."
