A Supernatural Hunt

Alistair's hand glowed with his dark magic for a moment, before he put his hand on the fae's head, Dominic whimpering in pain.

"...what was your family like?" Artemis asked quietly.

Jayden whimpered, memories of what the magic could do went through his head and he didn't want the fae to feel it. "Stop!" He got up again.

Alex paused before getting a far off look in his eyes. "My family... Well my dad wasn't the greatest and we're never close, but he worked hard to protect my pack. I remember when I had been just a kit he saved me from a wild werecat and my mother... She was so pretty and gentle, the whole pack loved her and she loved me and my siblings a lot. She used to sing to me when I couldn't sleep because of storms... And then there was my older brother Chris... Chrissy used to be my best and only friend... He was older, but he never left me out and always played together with me. Chrissy... Was the one that hid me when the demon came for my pack... H-He protected me..."

"Be quiet!" Alistair shouted, pulling a dagger out, pointing it at Jayden. "I'm done with him anyway! ...for now."

Artemis was silent as he listened, looking guilty about asking the question when he saw the look in Alex's eyes. He stood there for a moment afterwards before hugging him tightly. "I-I'm sorry..." He said quietly.

Jayden froze when he saw the dagger and bit his lip nervously, not sure what he meant.

Alex buried his face in Artemis's shoulder, blinking back tears.

Alistair held the dagger out to keep Jayden away from himself, releasing the spell that held the fae in place before he left.
Dominic laid still on the table, a scared look in his eyes as he stared up at the roof.

"I'm sorry." Artemis said again, gently rubbing his back.

Jayden bit his lip before inching towards Dom.

"I-Its okay." Alex said softly.

Dominic flinched when he heard the sound.

"I didn't mean to upset you," Artemis said. "I just...was curious."

"D-Dom?" Jayden asked softly.

"Its okay... It's just a while since... I really thought about them..."

The fae stayed silent for a moment before slowly turning his head to look. "...Jayden?"

"Oh." Artemis said before nodding. "...I don't really remember what happened to me and my brother."

"Y-You okay?" Jayden asked softly.

"O-Oh..." Alex said softly, still curled close.

"I...I don't know." Dominic said, slowly sitting up.

Artemis hugged him a little closer, leaning his head against him.

Jayden carefully reached out to touch his shoulder.

Alex relaxed, his eyes a little misty.

"...what did he do?" Dominic asked nervously.

Artemis shyly reached up and wrapped his arms around Alex's neck.

"I'm not sure... He used dark magic on you..." Jayden answered softly.

Alex slowly closed his eyes.

"I'm not going to forget everything like you; am I?" Dominic asked before biting his lip.

"Just relax," Artemis said softly, using some of his angel magic to help calm Alex, without really knowing it. "It'll be okay..."

Jayden shook his head, "That was because of how... He messed with my DNA..."

Alex felt himself calm and he relaxed as he leaned his head on his shoulder.

Dominic frowned and nodded. "Oh, right."

Artemis smiled and gently brushed a hand through his hair.

Jayden sighed softly.

Alex gave a soft noise of content, rubbing his cheek again him.

"I'm sorry." Dominic mumbled.

"You alright?" Artemis asked, looking down at him.

Jayden shyly sat next to him.
Peter checked his stuff one last time.

Alex nodded shyly as he looked up at him.

Dominic gave a small smile, reaching a hand out to touch his arm.
"Are you ready?" Marco asked him.

"That's good." Artemis smiled.

Jayden looked shyly at his hand before giving a small smile back.
Peter nodded, "Yeah, "I'm ready."

Alex smiled shyly at him before slowly leaning closer.

"...do you think we'll be okay?" Dominic asked quietly.
"I guess we should go get the shifter then?"

Artemis looked at him curiously.

"I... Hope so." Jayden said softly.
Peter nodded with a grin, "Yep." He started towards the lab.

Alex shyly leaned up and kissed his cheek softly.

Dominic slowly nodded, though he was still worried.
Marco smirked and followed Peter.

"...want to go for a walk?" Artemis asked, blushing slightly at the kiss to his cheek.
