A Supernatural Hunt

"Hey how are you doing?" Dante asked shyly.

Frankie smiled as he watched the angel.

Morgan smiled as he watched her hug their son.

Jasper shrugged his shoulders. "I'm fine." He lied.

Jacen slowly started falling asleep, curling up more.

"When did he get back? Where's he been?" Carmen asked her husband. "He's okay, right?"

Dante nodded shyly, "I just thought I'd check.."

Frankie pulled a thin sheet over him.

"I think he just got back love, I've not had a chance to ask him."

"Right." Jasper said slowly. "Thanks..."

Jacen slept quietly beside him, a small smile on his face.

"Oh, sorry." Carmen apologised, sitting on the edge of the bed to watch instead.

Dante nodded before taking a chance and going closer to the vampire.

Frankie watched with a small smile.

Morgan kissed her cheek before asking, "Dom, what happened to you?"

Jasper tensed slightly but didn't complain, watching curiously instead.

Marco slipped out of Mason's room, blending into the shadows. He headed down the hallway, darkness trailing behind him.

"I...I was looking for Dante." Dominic said.

Dante shyly kissed his cheek before saying softly, "I never said thank you."

Alex slowly woke up, feeling something drop in his stomach flop.

"Then what happened?" Morgan asked softly.

"For what?" Jasper asked, raising an eyebrow.

Marco was standing at the other end of the room, making the room darker than normal, just to bug the kitsune.

"I'm not sure." Dominic frowned. "I guess one of the demons came up behind me?"

"For rescuing me from the demon when we met." Dante said softly.

Alex couldn't hold back the soft whimper he gave.

"Did the demon's hurt you?" Morgan asked softly.

"Oh, sure." Jasper said with a smile. "No problem. ...I know what they're like."

Marco laughed, stepping out of the darkness, though he left it there behind him. "Aww is the little fox scared?"

Dominic thought about it, shivering when he remember Alistair. "I-I'm not sure..."

Dante smiled shyly, "Still I wanted to thank you, it was brave what you did."

"I.. I'm not scared!" Alex growled lowly, though it wasn't hard to see he was a little scared.

Morgan pulled him close, "How did you get home?"

Jasper shook his head. "I'm not brave."

"Oh no, not at all." The demon laughed.

"It was my friend's idea really..."

"I think you are." Dante replied.

Alex growled again and glared, he then got up to scratch at the demon. Hoping he'd scare the demon away, so he didn't have to be near it.

"Your friend?" Morgan asked curiously.

Jasper shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe more than I was."

Marco smirked and stepped back into the shadows, knowing Alex wouldn't follow.

"Of course. Why wouldn't he be after he helped me-" Dominic started before suddenly pulling away. He hurried over to the door, going back to Jayden out in the hallway. He grabbed the shapeshifter's hand and led him into the room without even explaining.

Dante shyly kissed his cheek again, "I think you are." He slowly started to back away.

Alex whimpered as he stopped in front of the shadows.

Jayden let Dom lead him into the room, he looked shyly at the man and woman in the room.

Jasper sat there with a surprised look for a moment before reaching a hand out to stop him.

"You remember this darkness, don't you?"

"This is Jayden." Dominic said to his parents, grinning.

Dante stopped and waited to see what he wanted.

Alex bit his lip hard, it was the darkness he saw that day he lost his family.

Jayden waved shyly to them, wondering if this was the fae queen and king.

Jasper went to say something, but instead he sighed and pulled him closer and hugged him instead.

Marco laughed and shook his head at him.

The fae queen slowly got up, looking at Jayden curiously. "What are you?"

Dante shyly hugged him back.

Alex growled weakly before swiping at the darkness.

"I... I was a human, but... I'm a shape-shifter now..." Jayden answered softly.

"I'm sorry." Jasper mumbled, still hugging him.

Marco reached out to grab his arm, freezing when he saw Jacen stir.

"Now? What do you mean 'now'?" Carmen asked.

"Its okay." Dante said softly as he leaned into the hug.

Alex frowned as his hand didn't hit anything.

"I..." Jayden started softly, his voice cracked a little. "I was turned into a shape-shifter by... By a demon..."

"I just...haven't been anywhere without Alex since we met- since he saved me." Jasper said quietly.

Thinking the angel was going to get up, Marco had teleported out of the cell, the darkness fading afterwards.

"They- How could they do that?" Carmen asked, confused.
Dominic shifted nervously at her question, looking away.

Dante rubbed his back softly, "It is hard on you right now..." He guessed.

Alex bit his lip before heading back to the cot.

"He... Changed me right down to my... Dna... Making me almost all shape-shifter... I am the only human exparament to make it..." Jayden's voice shook as explained to the queen.

Jasper shrugged his shoulders, too stubborn to admit it.

Jacen lifted his head when he heard Alex come closer. "What're you doing?" He asked sleepily.

Carmen frowned and looked at Morgan. "Why would they do that?"
Dominic took a small step closer to Jayden, taking his hand.

Dante murmured a soothing spell, hoping he's be able to help the vampire.

"H-He was here..." Alex answered softly.

"B-Because he could..." Jayden answered holding onto the fae's hand for support.
Morgan looked shocked at what he heard.
