First Night On The Job

Alex slowly looked up timidly.
"Something feels off....." Dante said.

"Raven has a question for you...." Austin said.

"How so...?" Brian asked, frowning.

"W-What...?" Alex asked softly.
"Like Mason and Rowen are lying about something...." Dante said.

"He wants to know who you'd prefer, me or him?" Austin said, grinning.

Brian was quiet for a few minutes as he drank from a water bottle. "So I'm not the only one who feels that way at times...?" he said quietly.

Alex bit his lip and looked away.
Dante nodded, "I have a feeling i shouldn't do this job Bri......"

"Raven wants an answer." Austin said.

"They'll find a way to make you..." Brain said, sounding as if he knew from experience.

Alex ducked his head, he didn't know what to do, they both scared him. "R-Raven......" Alex forced out.
Dante rubbed his head, "I.... I'm thinking of sneaking out...."

Austin looked annoyed. "Still scared of me huh?" he asked.

"You can't do that." Brian said, the years of being made to do as Mason says taking over.

Alex nodded, not looking at Austin.
Dante sighed, "I have too....."

Austin laughed, grabbing Alex by his hair to make him look. "Well that's too bad. I work for Raven, so you're going to be seeing a lot more of me." he growled.

Brian paused and glared at Dante, having been drinking more water; which he didn't realise Mason always had drugged. "You can't." he said, taking a step towards Dante after swapping his water for his knife.

Alex teared up as he looked at Austin.
Dante froze, a scared look on his face. "B-Bri....."

Austin chuckled and shook his head as Alex teared up. "Pathetic." he muttered.

Brian paused for a second at what Dante called him, used to just being called Kendrick by Mason and the others. He hesitated before the years of being drugged and trained to work for Mason took over again and stepped closer, raising the knife to get ready to attack.

Alex looked away again.
"Bri please...." Dante tried again, taking a step back.

Austin smirked before suddenly letting Alex go, leaving him alone in the room again.

Brian stopped, slowly dropping to his knees, hanging his head. He sat there for a minute before looking up at Dante. "Chris...?" he said quietly, confused. He'd never been told Dante's real name so he stuck with 'Chris'.

Alex pulled his knees to his chest, wanting Artemis.
"Bri are you ok...?" Dante asked stepping towards him.

Austin went back to Raven to tell him what Alex had said.

"I...I didn't hurt you did I?" Brian asked quietly instead of answering.

Raven grinned, "I'll have to find a way to make it up to you."
"No you stopped in time." Dante said.

Austin nodded.

Brian sighed in relief and let go of the knife before looking around the room, still confused after constantly being drugged.

"Bri lets get out of here..... Say we're going for training." Dante said softly.

"We...we can't..." Brian mumbled, looking like he'd just remembered something. "Not yet..."

"What is it Bri?" Dante asked.

"They...they have my..." Brian mumbled, staring at the ground. "They have someone I care about..."

"We'll get him out." Dante said.

Brian gave a small smile and nodded, tears in his eyes.

"Whats his name Bri?" Dante asked.
