Carter held Jay close, burying his face in the crook of Jay's neck, inhaling his scent. He stepped back, smiling at Frankie for a moment. "Thank you my friend." he reached into his coinpurse and handed Frankie a gold piece. "For you."

Jay curled close happily to Carter, feeling safe again.
Frankie smiled softly and shook his head, "No please you do not have to sir i am just glad to help."

Carter smiled at Frankie, wrapping an arm around Jay's shoulders. "Its the least I can do for all the help you've given me since we were children."

Heath had gone looking for Nolee to see if she wanted him to fix her supper but as soon as he saw she was not in her room he went looking for Brett.
