The Time For New Blood

Nolee couldn't deny that she was a bit angry that he didn't know who her father was. He was one of the most powerful assassins in the world. She swallowed down her anger and just a bit of scotch before continuing as the pianist in the corner started playing a slow song, "Mr. Farrelly I know I may sound a bit brash but I would rather enjoy a dance."

"A dance?" Sheamus asked, suddenly laughing. "Oh that ain't gonna happen anytime soon cailín..." (lass)

Nolee blushed cutely, "I knew I was asking for to much...sorry I offended you..."

"No, no." Sheamus said. "It's fine. I just...don't dance..."

Nolee smiled, "You don't? Not even just to be near a woman?"

Sheamus shook his head. "Nope."

Nolee smiled, "well, well, well I'm impressed..."

"Why?" Sheamus asked, confused.

Nolee smiled, "You don't use lame dancing skill to get a young girl all hot and bothered. Many men in your position would have captialized on it.."

"I know better than to make myself look like an arse..." Sheamus said.

Nolee smiled kindly, "Well, what about that young woman who was sitting with you? Will she get mad if she sees us talking together?"

"What?" Sheamus asked. "Oh! No, no...she's my cousin."

Nolee smiled, looking more charming than she had before. "Oh! Dear me, my mind jumping to the fact that you're dating..." she smiled, "Could I buy you another drink?"

"No, definitely not dating. I'm...not seeing anyone..." Sheamus said, sounding almost bitter as he spoke. "And I wouldn't turn down another drink..."

"Something wrong Sheamus? Did someone steal you're girl?" she asked as she signalled for the bartended to fix another Irish whiskey.

"Um...no." Sheamus said, looking away.

Nolee smiled and threw back another tumbler of scotch, "Would you like to go somewhere more private?"

"Sure...why not?" Sheamus shrugged, drinking his drink.

Nolee smiled and led him to one of the private rooms at the back of the club, "So...why don't you tell me a little about yourself?"

"Like what...?" Sheamus asked, sitting down.

"Oh anything really," Nolee smiled, "Or better yet..." she got into the drawer of the table that sat between them, Nolee having sat on the couch and Sheamus having taken up residence in a chair. Pulling out a deck of cards she smirked, "You ever me Roddy Piper?"

"No...and I'd rather not..." Sheamus said. "Usually means you're in trouble if yeh get to meet him..."

Nolee smiled and took the cards out of the packaging, "When I was a teenager, about 14, my dad took me to my first poker game. I sat next to Roddy Piper. He taught me this little trick, how to observe people in the best of ways. When I play cards, I can pick up on everything from what you had for dinner to what you are thinking. It comes in great for a mob boss."

"Oh...I bet it would..." Sheamus said, looking slightly worried.

"Would you like to play?" Nolee smiled softly.
