A Supernatural Hunt

Joseph didn't respond, instead slowly walking towards Dante.

"He is." Carmen agreed.

Jacen leaned his head against him, smiling softly.

Dominic followed quickly behind him, becoming more relaxed the further they got from the stone room.

Dante looked up at the demon walking towards him.

"Lets hope the elves aren't stubborn over the marriage..."

Frankie rested his head on his.

Jayden smiled as they got farther and farther from that place.

"...your name's Dante, right?" Joseph asked, pausing a few steps away.

Carmen sighed. "I hope not."

Jacen stood there for a moment before slowly pulling away.

Once they were out of the tunnel, Dominic turned and put a hand to the opening, using his power to block the tunnel with thorns.

Dante nodded, "Yes, my name is Dante."

Morgan sighed before hugging her again.

Frankie let him pull away, holding in a sigh.

Jayden watched in awe, "So where do we go now?"

"Right. Uh, Dante..." Joseph nodded, hesitating for a moment. "About what happened in the woods; I didn't mean to..."

Carmen hugged him back before finishing brushing her hair.

"What is it?" Jacen asked when he looked up at him.

"Home." Dominic said with a small smile, holding a hand out to him. "We should tell the king and queen what that demon was doing." He added, still unaware that Jayden knew who he was.

Dante nodded timidly, "Oh... Right..."

Morgan watched her before turning out the lights.

"Nothing." Frankie put up a fake front to Jacen.

Jayden nodded as he took the hand Dominic held out to him, "You... You think they'll let me stay?"

"I'm sorry."

Carmen smiled at him and put her brush aside when she was done before getting into bed.

"Alright..." Jacen said, sitting back on his bed.

The fae was quiet for a moment. "Yes." He nodded.

"Thank you..." Dante said softly.

Morgan held her close.

Frankie sat on the floor as Alex was on his cot.

Jayden nodded as he followed Dominic, feeling the strange feeling of happiness at being out.

Instead of responding at all, Joseph just turned away and went back to Leo, not used to interacting with others besides other demons and Leo.

Carmen curled close to him, slowly falling asleep.

"You can sit up here if you'd like." Jacen said quietly.

Dominic started leading him into the woods, occasionally looking back as if worried the demons somehow knew they'd left.

Leo kissed Joseph's cheek when he returned.

Morgan stayed awake watching her.

Frankie nodded and moved to sit next to him.

Jayden wondered how far they'd have to go to get to the Fae kingdom.

Joseph smiled a little and wrapped an arm around Leo's shoulders.
Having watched from the kitchen, Artemis cautiously came back over to Dante.

Carmen shifted occasionally in her sleep, but stayed close to him.

"It looked uncomfortable down there..."

By the time the fae slowed down so they could walk, there was little light in the woods and he had to stop a few times to figure out the right direction. He kept hold of Jayden's hand the whole time though to avoid them getting separated.

Leo smiled and relaxed against him.
Dante looked at his friend.

Morgan slowly went into a light sleep, but he was awake enough to hear if someone came in.

"Kinda was..." Frankie said softly.

Jayden was grateful for the fae keeping hold of his hand, it had been quite a few years since he had been out in the forest alone.

Artemis smiled nervously at Dante.

"You can stay here, if-if you like." Jacen mumbled.

Dominic led him to the fae kingdom and quietly led him through the halls, most of the fae asleep. "Wait here." He said quietly to Jayden, pausing out side a room. He hugged the shapeshifter before quietly slipping into the room, pausing a few steps away from the bed, trying to work out if his parents were awake or not.
"...father?" He tried quietly, knowing Morgan was the one who usually stayed up.

Dante smiled back, hoping he'd see it was okay.

"Thanks..." Frankie replied softly.

Jayden looked around the lovely kingdom in awe as they made their way, he returned the hug shyly before watching as Dominic entered the room.
Morgan quickly sat up, "Dom!"

"I think I'm gonna go lie down." Artemis mumbled, slowly turning to go upstairs.

"No problem." Jacen replied.

Dominic jumped slightly at the sudden response. "Y-Yes..."

"Okay..." Dante said softly, feeling lonely.

Frankie leaned back and slowly relaxed.

Morgan pulled his eldest into a tight hug, "We were go worried."

Artemis paused and glanced back at him, biting his lip to avoid looking upset. "...maybe you should check on Jasper?"

Jacen slowly laid down and curled up.

Dominic made a nervous sound as his father pulled him close.

"Oh..." Dante said softly before nodding shyly, "Your right, someone should." He stood up and went towards the stairs.

Frankie watched as he curled up.

"What happened Dom?" Morgan asked softly.

"He doesn't like me." Artemis said.

"I'm sorry." Jacen said quietly.

Dominic made a nervous sound, clinging to his father like he used to as a child. "Demons..." He whimpered.

Dante nodded before knocking on Jasper's door.

"Its okay." Frankie answered.

"Demons... They attacked you?" Morgan asked as he tightened his hug.
Jayden nervously stood in the hall.

"What?" Jasper asked from the other side of the door, being rude again.

"You sure?" Jacen asked, looking up at him.

Dominic nodded, tears in his eyes. "They've been keeping people they catch in their base. They-they were going to kill me."

"I... Was just checking on you..." Dante answered backing away from the door.

Frankie nodded, "Yeah I'm sure."

"Your safe now, your safe." Morgan said softly.

"Oh, Dante." A moment later, the door opened, Jasper already back on his bed on the other side of the dark room.

Jacen watched him for a moment before moving, curling up against Frankie instead of nearby, mumbling about it being cold.

"Because of Jayden." Dominic said quietly, wrapping his arms around his father's neck.
"Who's Jayden?" Carmen yawned, only partly awake. She sat up a bit, not realising who Morgan was speaking to.

Dante slowly entered the room, "Hey." He said shyly.

Frankie wrapped an arm around him to warm him.

"I was just about to ask Dom that." Morgan told her.

"Hey." Jasper said, shifting so he could hide one hand from Dante's view.

Jacen relaxed against him, smiling tiredly.

"Dom?" Carmen said as she rubbed her eyes, gasping when she finally realised. "Dom!" She crawled across the bed to see them better, staring for a moment before getting up to hug their son.
