A Supernatural Hunt

Jasper shook his head. "And you're still here demanding he do things he doesn't want?"

Jacen shifted nervously, trying to see passed Frankie to see who was there.

"...do you get lonely here?" Dominic asked as he watched.

"Its his duty to do this... The queen thought..."

Peter smirked, "Where's the kitsune?"

Jayden nodded sadly, "I get very lonely..."

"Well there are more important things going on."

Jacen stepped forward, moving to stand between Peter and Alex's hiding spot. "You stay away from him."

"I'm sorry." Dominic said quietly.

Adric shook his head, "Well what do you expect me today, return without him?"

Peter smirked, "No, bosses orders."

"Its okay... Its been my life for a while."

"Yes!" Jasper almost shouted, annoyed that it was taking so long to get the fae to understand. "He wants to help find the other one who rescued him. Who happens to be a kitsune. We can't just drop what we're doing and leave him with the demons because you want to force him to marry someone he's probably never met."

Jacen shook his head. "You aren't having him."

"It shouldn't be." Dominic said.

"A kitsune?! Their all dead everyone knows that..." Adric said in shock. "The demons...."

"You think you can stop me?" Peter laughed.

"What can my life be now though?" Jayden asked softly.

"Not all of them." Jasper sighed. "Alex is the only one as far as I know. And they have him."

"I can try." Jacen said, a determined look in his eyes. He changed to his angel form, his dark wings appearing as he created a magical barrier in front of himself to stop the demon getting closer to the others. While his brother Artemis was mostly a healer, Jacen's powers were protective.

"You could come with me..." Dominic started before pausing nervously. "I- I mean, the fae have their own kind of shapeshifters, you wouldn't really be too odd to them..."

"But how... And why weren't any of the other races told! The last kitsune should of been protected!"
"He was being protected, by his best friends." Leo growled lowly.

Peter tried to send a lightning bolt to the shield that protected them.

"Y-You really think so? I-I could have a home again?" Jayden asked softly.

"Letting more people know he was here would have made it even more dangerous for Alex!" Jasper hissed.

Jacen flinched as the lightning hit his shield, but stubbornly kept it there.

"I think so." Dominic nodded, smiling at him.

"And make all his brother's work to protect him in vain!" Leo said angrily at the stupid Fae.
Adric huffed, "He would of been protected by either the Fae or one of the others!"

Peter growled, not sure what to do.

Jayden smiled softly before hugging Dominic.

Jasper rolled his eyes. "You mean like you protected Dante?"

Jacen smirked, trying his best not to let his fear show. He normally only protected his brother and had no idea how long his shield would hold against the demon.

Dominic was surprised at first, but hugged him back.

"We... Didn't know he had been attacked..."

Peter hit it with his fist before storming off.
Alex peaked out from the bed.

"Thank you." Jayden said softly.

"Because you were too busy trying to force your other thing on him."

Jacen made a nervous sound when Peter hit it and sank to his knees, sighing in relief when the demon left.

"It's alright." Dominic said softly.

"Its important..." Adric murmured.

Alex slowly came back out, "Thank you."
Frankie checked on Jacen.

Jayden shyly pulled back.

"Not while our friend's missing it's not." Jasper said. He ran a hand through his short hair, glancing around the room before speaking quietly to the fae again. "There's an angel too that those demons probably have and who knows what else..."

Jacen slowly lifted his head to look up at them.

Dominic nervously took a step back afterwards.

Adric sighed. "An angel too... I'll need to talk to the others..."

"You alright Jacen?" Frankie asked protectively.

"Is something wrong?" Jayden asked.

"Yeah, you do that."

Jacen slowly nodded. "Yeah...I'm fine."

"No, nothing." Dominic said, though he didn't sound entirely sure.

Adric huffed and left.
Dante sighed sadly.

"I've never seen anything like that before." Frankie said in awe, "Your wings were beautiful."

Jayden nodded slowly.

"Finally." Jasper muttered once the fae was gone.

"It wasn't that great..." Jacen mumbled, looking embarrassed. He blushed slightly, his wings folding against his body.

"I'll be fine." Dominic told him.

"S-Sorry..." Dante said softly.

Frankie gently touched his cheek.

Jayden nodded shyly.

"For what?" Jasper asked.

Jacen jumped slightly at the touch without meaning to, jumpy after trying to stand up to the demon.

"Let's just eat."

"Him... I didn't... I thought they'd wait..." Dante murmured sadly.

Frankie drew his hand back a little.

Jayden nodded and fixed himself some food.

"It's not your fault." Jasper sighed.

"Sorry." Jacen mumbled, taking a breath to try and relax.

Dominic stayed where he was for a moment before going over to him.

Dante sighed worriedly, "They're going to make we go through with it..."

"Its okay." Frankie said softly.

Jayden smiled shyly at him before freezing when he heard the main door open.

Jasper shook his head. "We won't let them." He said. "Something like that should be your choice."

Jacen nodded and relaxed a little.

"It's him." Dominic mumbled, making a nervous sound.
