A Supernatural Hunt

Artemis looked up at them both, nodding. "Yeah he is..."

"Right." Marco said, rolling his eyes.

Alex nodded, ""How was he caught?" He asked.

"Probably shouldn't keep him waiting..." Peter said nervously.

"We don't like hurting others..." Artemis frowned, looking away.

"Alright, fine. Let's go then." Marco growled.

"Because angels are made to protect and heal..." Dante asked from the doorway.

Peter nodded and headed into the hall.

"Yeah..." Artemis nodded.

Marco sighed, following him quietly.

"Where were you when you were attack? Dante here had a run in with a demon as well."

Peter hurried to the other demon.

"We were in the city...we'd just helped someone when they appeared." Artemis frowned. "Dante?"

"Did he even say what he wanted?" Marco asked.

Alex pointed to the fae, "That's Dante, he's a fae... He just moved in." Alex paused, "What did the demon look like?"

"To talk you you after saying you'd probably kill the kitsune the boss wanted."

"Oh, hi." Artemis said with a small smile as he looked at Dante. "Um...I'm not sure, I didn't really get a chance to see him."

Marco growled and shook his head. "At least I go out on jobs. He doesn't anymore."

Dante gave a shy wave.
Alex nodded with a sigh, "Well we have to think another way to find the demons."

Peter bit his lip, "He's right over there Marco..."

"I might be able to locate my brother...I just can't get him back on my own." Artemis said.

Marco froze, looking around for Alistair before he felt a hand around his throat.
"Are you forgetting I was the one who bought in that angel?" Alistair growled. "I've been on plenty of jobs long before either of you showed up."

Alex nodded, "Well we will probably need a few more people..."

Peter nervously tried to get the hand off his friends throat. "Alistair..."

Jasper frowned and nodded. "They like hiding in large groups."

"What?" Alistair hissed as he turned to look at Peter, his hand still around Marco's throat.

"Yeah..." Alex said softly with a nod, "Plus one kitsune can do some damage, but not to all of them..."

"The boss wouldn't want Marco hurt...." Peter said.

"Do you know anyone else who could help...?" Artemis asked.

"Fine." Alistair rolled his eyes and let Marco go, who quickly stepped back from him.

"Maybe..." Alex said softly, "One hasn't been seen for a year though..."

"What did you want to talk to him about...?"

"They haven't?" Artemis frowned.

"Not talk. Show." Alistair said, rolling his eyes. "I have something that'll help find the kitsune." He turned and led them into a room that looked as if it was used for rituals, a large pentagram on the floor. In the middle there was a stone table where a young man was lying.

"He lost his lover... Were's don't do to good when we lose a loved one..." Alex whispered sadly.

Peter stared, "The Werecat that Austin killed last year? The one he said felt off?"

"Oh...really?" Artemis said, sighing softly.

"Well he was one of those things..." Alistair said.

Alex nodded slowly, his eyes sad before hiding all his hurt like he had gotten used too.

Peter nodded slowly, "How will he find us a kitsune?"

"Are you alright...?" Artemis asked, not sure if he'd actually seen the sadness or just imagined it.

"It's simple." Alistair said, going over to the table. "All Were become human when they die. When I bought this one back...I fixed him up bit." He smirked.

"I-I'm...." Alex stopped, the sadness came through in his eyes again. He was too tired to hide it like normal, the night had been a long one.

"What do you mean fix him up a bit?" Peter asked with a confused look.

"Sorry..." Artemis said, not wanting to upset him. "Pretend I never asked..."

"I gave him some better powers." Alistair smirked.

"I-Its okay..." Alex said with a sad sigh, "I've lost a lot to demons...." He looked down, part of himself felt guilty that he felt a draw to the angel.

"Like what?" Peter asked as he studied the man.

"That's not okay." Artemis said, feeling bad that he'd asked about something that had made him upset.

"I haven't tested that yet," Alistair said as he glanced down at a book he'd left open on the table. "But I believe he's now what we'd call a witch."
