Old Friends

"I spent some time with Cole." Dante answered.

Connor sighed before rolling his eyes at the oldest two men.

"Doing what?"

Will frowned slightly as a silver haired man with dark eyes glanced over at Connor, the younger boss trying not to look worried by the man's presence.

"I went looking for everyone because I got worried and we talked a little bit."

Connor didn't care if the man saw him rolling his eyes.

"You were worried?" Jasper frowned. "Why?"

"What is your name young man?" The older male asked.

"Connor Bourke." Connor answered, looking up at the older male.

Dante ducked his head before looking to see if Kari was listening. "I... After you, the twins and I got grabbed..."

"Bourke huh? I have heard of you before." The man smirked. "Where is your brother?"

Jasper frowned, gently hugging Dante close. "It's okay Dante."

"He's in his room..." Connor didn't like the man's smirk, "And how have you heard of my name?"

Dante curled close, "I-I know I'm being stupid..."

"Oh, not your name. Your brother's. I highly doubt you are the assassin."

"No, you aren't," Jasper said quietly. "You're allowed to be worried about your family. Your dad does it too, doesn't he?"

Connor rolled his eyes, "Whatever old man." He muttered under his breath as he started typing again.

Dante nodded slowly, "Yeah.."

The man went to respond before Will held a hand up, cutting him off. "Leave him Alistair." He said softly before looking over at Connor.

"You both have good reasons to..." Jasper said, hugging him close.

Connor looked at his boss wondering if he was in trouble.

Dante relaxed as he curled close.

"Go and check on your brother." Will said softly to him. He thought it would be safer if as little people as possible knew the bosses' plans.

"Here you go." Artemis said as he put the food Kari had helped him make on the table.

"Okay Will..." Connor answered respectfully, though he didn't like leaving his boss alone.

Kari smiled proudly, "Eat up papa!"

Will gave a small smile hoping it would reassure him, knowing Connor and his brother both worried about leaving him alone at times.

"Did you help?" Jasper asked as he looked down at Kari.

Connor gave a small smile before quickly packing up his stuff and heading towards Oliver's room.
Orion grinned as he watched from a corner in the room. "Your friend sure has a backbone." He enjoyed messing with Alistair and was glad he wasn't the only one.

Kari smiled and nodded, "Yes!"

Oliver was lying on his bed listening to music, though normally he'd be doing something like reading or training when he was home.
"Hmm? How so...?" Will asked, turning to look at Orion.

"Oh well aren't you clever?" Jasper smiled, holding an arm out to her.

"Brother?" Connor said as he knocked on the door of his room.
"He showed no fear at the old man." Orion said with a smirk, knowing he'd peeved him off.

Kari hugged him happily.

Hearing him, Oliver paused his music, putting his iPod down before getting up to open the door. "Yes?"
"Sometimes he's like that." Will said with a small smile.
"He should be careful," Alistair said coldly. "He'll get himself into trouble one day."

Jasper smiled and crouched down so he could hug her properly.

"Will told me to wait with you..." Connor sighed. "He's meeting them..."
Orion grinned, "Trouble is fun is you can take care of yourself."
Raven snorted.

Dante smiled as he watched.

"Who? The other bosses...?" Will asked.
"Trouble is not something you should be causing among your allies." Alistair pointed out. "How are we supposed to get our plan to work properly if such trouble causes allies to mistrust each other."

Artemis smiled as well before sitting in one of the chairs, a worried look on his face.

Connor nodded with a sigh, "I don't like those old guys..."
"He's right son, now behave." Raven ordered his son.

"Whats wrong daddy?" Dante answered softly.

"What're they like...?"
Alistair smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Now...what is with this...child you mentioned? Why do we even have it and where's it from?"

"I... just the usual, I guess..." Artemis sighed.

"The older ones I don't trust, the younger one seems alright..."
Raven answered, "The child is Jacen Westmore's... And either Peter Darwin or my Frankie's..."

Dante sighed and hugged him tightly.

"What's wrong with them?" Oliver asked, going to sit back on his bed.
"Westmore?" Alistair grinned, ignoring the other names. "How did we end up with it?"

"Your uncle scares me sometimes..." Artemis said quietly.

"They're so... Their vibes aren't good..." Connor said.
Orion snorted, "Old dad here decided it would be a good idea, I still say its a stupid idea. Everyone knows what happens when you take a Westmore, look at Mason. He's been defeated so many times it isn't even funny anymore and this is just because he thinks that Westmore kid still works for him."

Dante nodded nervously at that, "He's doing worse?"
