Alex smiled softly up at Artemis.

"Because Ted hates him...."

"I love you." Artemis said quietly.

"He hates a lot of people..." Carmen said, rolling her eyes, knowing a little about what Ted was like.

"I love you too." Alex replied.

"You know my brother?" Brett asked.

Artemis smiled and kissed Alex's cheek.

"I know of him..."

Cody was laying outside, having been reading, though he'd fallen asleep.

Alex smiled, he was relaxed again.

Brett nodded.

Ted sat down next to him and touched his cheek.

Artemis kissed Aly's head before humming again.

"So what kind of help were you after?" Carmen asked.

Cody went tense when he felt the touch, nervous after working earlier.

"Tp get all of them out of there." Brett answered.

Ted kepted the touch soft.

Carmen nodded. "We'll have to find somewhere for them to go."

Cody slowly relaxed at the touch, curling up.

Brett nodded.

Ted smiled softly.

"Come up to the office." Carmen said, leading Brett upstairs.

Cody shifted slightly after a few minutes and opened his eyes.

Brett followed her.

Ted smiled sweetly.

Carmen went and sat down on one of the couches, not wanting to sit at Jacen's desk.

Cody blinked and slowly looked up at him. "...Ted?"

Brett sat down as well, he was tired from worrying.

"Hey Cody." ted answered softly.

"Is there anything else?" Carmen asked softly.

"What are you doing here...?" Cody asked quietly.

"He's trying to get cody back......" Brett said sadly.

"I just wanted to see how you were...."

"oh..." Carmen said, frowning.

"I'm fine, I guess... Just a little sore." Cody said.

Brett nodded sadly.

"Do you need anything?" Ted asked.

Carmen frowned and went quiet, writing everything down.

"No...I'm fine." Cody said quietly, wrapping his arms around himself. Usually he always went to Brett, though it was once Ted, to get hugs after working, but Brett wasn't there.

Ted hugged him.

Jay laid curled up on his bed.

"You can rest if you want," Carmen said to Brett. "You look tired."

Cody made a surprised sound and froze. "...what are you doing?" He asked nervously.

"Are you alright?" Seth asked as he came into the room with food for them both.

"Thank you..... I've not been able to sleep lately..."

"Sorry...." Ted said softly letting go, he was hurt on the inside.

"Tired.... And i miss Jude..."

"There's a room down the hall that's normally my son's, but he's away." Carmen said.

Cody pouted slightly when Ted let go, hesitating before moving closer, wanting a hug anyway.

Seth sighed and sat beside Jay, handing him a plate. "Come with me to see him tomorrow."

Brett nodded, "Thank you."

Ted held him close, his eyes tearing up a bit.

"B-But Ted...."

Carmen smiled at him before getting up. "Come on." She said.

Cody slowly leaned against him, though he still looked nervous.

"We'll just have to be careful." Seth said.

Brett smiled and followed her.

"Will always love you...." Ted whispered.

Jay nodded.
