Harris grinned and looked at Adam.

"Is somethign the matter?" Carter asked, not looking up from his game of chess.

Adam smiled softly as he closed his eyes, his tail on Harris's lap.

Jay smiled, "Its your turn i think."

Harris ran his hands through Adam's hair, "Will they ever view me as one of them or just as the emperor?"

Carter looked down and smiled, "That it is."

Adam slipped into sleep ashe curled closer.

Jay nodded, a little worried at the frown. "Have... Have i done something wrong?"

Brett sat reading a scroll.

Nolee smiled and sat next to him, "What are you reading m'love?"

Jay kissed back with a shy smile.

"What?! Why do you ask that?" Brett asked confused, "I am not, have i been unattentive to you? Or.. Are you tired of me...?"

"Oh no you have been a wonderous husband," Nolee smiled, looking shocked that he would even insinuate such a thing, "but you are always so busy with your scrolls and your duty to my father's kingdome that often you do not have time for me."

Jay smiled softly, "I was wondering if we... We would ever have a little one?"

"I am sorry... Your father has given me more jobs and i try to make time but it is hard... I-I am sorry i...." Brett said sadly, he hadn't meant top hurt her.

Nolee smiled and leaned into kiss his cheek, "You do not have to be sorry. I know why you are oft not around."

Carter frowned, "I did not say that I would never have one but for now I am not ready. I am to young to have children..."

Nolee smiled and hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder, "Do you hunger m'lord?"

Jay nodded, "I understand, i know you will deside to someday when you are ready.." He said softly, inside wondering if like the servant said that Carter would tire of the troublesome pup as the servant had called him. Jay hadn't evenn been the one to knock into the servany that had yelled at him, but the crual words were hurtful to the young pup and he was scared they would some be true.

Brett nodded with a smile, "Yes a little my dearest." He said taking her hand.
