Hate Love (for Nolee)

Cody froze, having assumed his old room wasn't being used. He swallowed nervously when he realised it was Harris.

Harris smield and helped Cody inside before helping Lucas inside. "Ya both are being awful brave. Dontcha know that you're being looked for Cody?"

"Y-Yes..." Cody said nervously before looking confused. "What are you doing here...?"

"Ted hired me to do a few odd jobs. She's downstairs in one of the holding cells..." Harris said, knowing why Lucas and Cody were there.

"Oh..." Cody said. "And he doesn't expect you to help us?"

"Course not," chuckled Harris.

"Oh right, he's after something, so it's the only thing he'll pay attention to..." Cody said, rolling his eyes.

Harris smirked, "Now Codeman, you remember where the holding cells are?"

Cody nodded. "Though I kinda wish I didn't..."

"He sent you there?" Lucas asked.

Harris hesitated, "How bad are they?"

Cody just pulled a face. "It depends..."

Harris frowned, "I'm almost afraid to ask...but how bad is my baby girl getting hurt down there?"

Lucas wrapped an arm around Cody, "You dont' have to talk about it..."

"Well he's not stupid enough to kill her...and probably too scared to hurt her that bad..." Cody said, leaning against Lucas.

Harris nodded in relief, "I should have killed him when he was a boy. Now you two get. You have to get her outta here..."


Lucas nodded and kissed the top of Cody's head, "Lead the way."

Cody frowned slightly at what Harris said, but nodded and left the room.

Lucas flanked Cody, keeping an eye out for anyone who wanted to hurt them.

Cody quietly led Lucas downstairs, looking around nervously the whole time.

Lucas looked around downstairs, not hearing anything. "Rooms sound proof?"

"Rooms..." Cody corrected "...to the rest of the house...but not each other..."

Lucas nodded, "Right, right. Anyway to tell where she is."

Cody nodded, hesitating before walking again.

Lucas frowned, keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of a trap.

Cody stopped when they reached a door, frowning as he stared at it.

"Something wrong?" Lucas mouthed.

"It's down here..." Cody said quietly.
