Unlikely allies

Subject: Unlikely allies Wed Sep 21, 2011 5:56 pm

As Sheamus went down to the dungeons to do his usual watch for the day, he noticed that his King, William Regal, had gotten two new prisoners in and had put the two of them in with a prisoner who'd been in there for a while now.

Curious, Sheamus went over to inspect them, not even knowing what the new prisoners were in for. As he stood outside their cell, he saw that one was dark haired, while the other was blond. He stood there watching them as he waited for them to wake up.

Jay was curled close to his brother Alex as they both slept. They had been sent my their village to be peace offerings to king Regal. Alex started to stir and opened his eyes slowly.

Sheamus took a step closer to their cell as he saw one of them stirring, assuming they were harmless. He looked down at them before glancing over at the other prisoner in the cell, who was sleeping in a corner.

Alex opened his eyes quickly and jumped when he saw the guard standing there. Jay woke when Alex jumped and stared at the guard.

"Sorry..." Sheamus mumbled when he realised he'd scared them. "You two are new here...what are your names?"

"Alexander." Alex answered. "J-Jason." Jay answered, still shook up.

Sheamus nodded. "Right. So what did you two do? Yeh don't look like killers..." He said as he looked at them. "Why are yeh so scared? I'm not a ghost or anything."

"We didn't do anything wrong." Alex answered, "We were sent as servents to the king Regal so he'd not hurt our village."

"Oh..." Sheamus said, understanding. "You're the poor fellas they sent? ...that's not right. Yeh shouldn't be here." he added, looking worried.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked carefully.

"He...he's a horrible man." Sheamus said quietly, looking around nervously to make sure no one around was listening. "I'd say ask yer cellmate but..."

Hearing voices in his cell, which was usually empty besides himself, Casey had woken up and was sitting in his corner watching them.

Jay swallowed hard, he looked at Alex. Alex sighed. "I thought the stories were just stories."

"Oh I wish they were fella," Sheamus said. "Sadly, most of them stories are true...I'll be back soon, I'll get yeh some food." He said before going back upstairs.

Casey watched as Sheamus left, slowly turning his head to look at his new cell mates, running a hand through his blond hair.

Jay and Alex looked at the man in the cell next to them. They both gave s tentive hello.

Casey stared at the other two suspiciously, slowly raising a hand to give a small wave to say hello back.

"Why are you here?" Alex asked.

Casey shook his head, his arms around his knees as he watched them.

Alex sighed softly and wrapped his arms around Jay.

Sheamus came back and saw Jay and Alex looking at Casey, suddenly remembering he'd never explained to them. He unlocked the cell door, opening it enough to put it in small bowls of food for each of them and closed it again.
"Here's your food fellas...Oh, that's Casey by the way." He told the other two.

"Thanks." Jay said as they took the food given. Alex looked at Casey and asked the guard. "Why is he quiet?"

"Uh...He...hasn't spoken for a long time." Sheamus said, frowning. "It's probably why Regal had yeh put in here with him. Poor thing's a perfect example of how terrifying King Regal can be..."

Sheamus frowned as he saw their reactions and sighed, hoping these two didn't end up the same way.

While no one was paying much attention to him, Casey came and got his food.

Alex sighed, he had to get Jay and himself out of here and Casey too.

As he got his food, Casey looked up at Alex, hearing him sigh. He stared at him for a few seconds with his bright, blue eyes before going back to his corner to eat.
