"Well..." Dominic hesitated, suddenly remembering his conversation with their parents. "They were happy for you to stay to help the kitsune...the vampire part...uh they were kind of surprised..."

"...I'm not sure?" Dominic shrugged. "They just didn't really expect you of all people to um...do something like that."
