A Supernatural Hunt

"But...what did I do?" Jacen asked, looking confused.

"What's wrong with them?" Jasper asked.

Dominic shifted his feet and looked down at his feet. "You can't... He already found someone." He said quietly.

"You were you Jacen." Frankie answered softly.

"Its the elf treaty..." Dante answered softly, "Plus my brother had been caught by demons... He's alright now, but..."

"He's found someone? Who is it and why hasn't your brother told us before?" Morgan asked.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"...but what?" Jasper asked curiously.

Dominic lifted his head just enough to look at them. "I...think it's recent."

"Your sweet, kind and your wonderful." Frankie answered.

"He seems like he's still nervous." Dante answered softly.

"You mean since he went missing?" Morgan asked.

Jacen tilted his head a little to one side. "I am?"

"How so?" Jasper asked.

Dominic gave a small nod, hesitating before speaking. "It's a vampire..."

Frankie nodded. "You are.." He stroked his cheek again.

"He just seems so jumpy..." Dante answered, "He... Said my parents are going to try and talk them out of using me for the treaty."

Morgan frowned, "A vampire?"

Jacen blushed again, smiling at him.

"Did they hurt him?" Jasper asked with a frown. "...the demons I mean."

Dominic nodded again. "I think so..."

Frankie smiled back before hugging him close.

"I don't know, he seemed fine... But that doesn't mean they didn't..." Dante answered.

Morgan frowned, "I... Don't know if I like this... What if this vampire hurts him..."

Jacen relaxed as he leaned against him.

"You didn't ask?"

"I don't think you really have to worry about that..." Dominic said quietly.

Frankie smiled, humming softly.

"He won't of said anything if I did ask, Dom doesn't like telling when he's hurt..."

Morgan frowned in confusion.

Jacen slowly curled up, playing with his dark hair.

Jasper frowned. "Why not?"

Dominic bit his lip, hesitating before deciding to explain. "...Dante wasn't dressed when I got there."

Frankie carefully leaned his head on Jacen's.

"Dom doesn't like people fussing over him..."

Morgan looked shocked, "He... Wasn't..."

"I'm sorry I woke you up..." Jacen said after a moment, still worried he had.

"Stubborn?" Jasper guessed.

Carmen had been standing nearby, reading the letters again, but hearing what their son had said she froze and they slipped from her hands, falling to the floor. "But...he's-"

"Its okay." Frankie said with a soft smile.

Dante nodded, "Yeah, like dad." He leaned his head against Jasper, he wondered of Jasper knew he was in love with him.

"He's too young!" Morgan said before heading over to his wife to hug her, he looked worried. He knew his youngest had never had a relationship before and he hoped he wasn't hurt.

"It is?"

Jasper nodded. "Those things often seem to get passed along."

"Why...why would he do something like that all of a sudden?" Carmen asked looking confused.

Frankie nodded with a small smile, "Yeah."

Dante nodded, "Yeah. That's what I was always told, but fae children are rare with fae living as long as they do."

"I... I don't know... This is not like him at all... He's never even been in a relationship before...."

"Okay..."

Jasper lifted his head a bit to look at him properly. "You live a long time...?"

"I know he hasn't," Carmen replied. "It was part of why he didn't agree with the marriage."

Frankie gently ran his hand through Jacen's hair.

Dante nodded, "As long as we're not killed in battle yeah... But me and my brother are really young for Fae, I'm only 20 and he's only a little older then me."

Morgan sighed, "Why a vampire? Maybe he's getting back for the marriage..."

The angel smiled and leaned into the hand, like a cat would when petted.

Jasper grinned, hugging him tightly and kissing his head.

"Wasn't he still with the ones who saved him?" Dominic asked.

Frankie smiled as he watched the angel.

Dante smiled as he hugged back tightly, he slowly let his eyes close.

Morgan nodded slowly, "Yes I believe that's what Adric said."

Jacen looked up at him shyly after a bit.

The vampire slowly fell asleep, snoring quietly.

"Well that probably has something to do with it." Dominic pointed out.

Frankie smiled softly at him, touching his cheek.

Dante slowly fell back asleep as well.

Morgan knew his son was probably right.

Jacen smiled back at him before leaning closer to hug him.

Carmen sighed. "But even if he did save Dante, he's still a vampire..."

Frankie smiled and hugged him close.

"He had no right to touch a fae prince." Morgan added.

Jacen relaxed against him, smiling softly.

"I'm not sure he even knows..." Dominic said.
