Old Friends

Crying out as he was shoved from a car, clutching money in one hand; the short man ended up slipping on the frosted sidewalk, swearing as he hit the ground. He sighed as he slowly moved to get up, picking up the notes he'd dropped, some of which had gotten wet. After shoving the money into a pocket the man, Evan Bourne, brushed himself off as best he could before heading down the street, limping slightly as he walked.

Not really noticing, or caring, if anyone was watching him, Evan turned into a small aleeyway where a shelter had been built, suggesting he'd been sleeping there. Sitting under the small shelter, the former employee of Mason Ryan hugged his knees to his chest, coughig as he tried to stay warm, his clothes wet from slipping earlier not helping him at all.

Dante walked down the street holding hid boyfriend's hand, they had just finished a job for his uncle and getting ready to return home. He paused when he heard the cough and moved to see what or who it was.

"Is something wrong...?" Jasper asked, frowning at Dante's sudden change of behaviour. Not having been paying attention, he hadn't heard the noise but followed Dante anyway.

Evan had curled up on his side, his arms wrapped tight around himself as he tried to get to sleep, shivering slightly.

Dante entered the alley and stopped at the sight of his firat friend that had helped him with his time at Mason's, "Evan?!"

Evan jumped when he heard Dante, quickly waking up. He backed up against the wall under his shelter, not realising who had spoken. "S-Stay away from me..." He said nervously.

"Evan it me Dante.." Dante said as he backed up.

"...Dante?" Evan said, looking confused as he tried to remember where he'd heard the name.

"You used to work for Mason, you were my friend... Mason used to call me Chris remember?"

"Chris..." Evan said slowly as he remembered the name before smiling, suddenly coming closer, throwing his arms around Dante's neck, hugging him. "Oh Dante, I didn't know what happened to you, I'm glad you're okay."

"I'm glad your okay too!" Dante said as he hugged him back, "I was so worried when I went back for you and you weren't there."

"Well...mostly okay." Evan mumbled, turning his head away before coughing.

"Your cold. ' Dante said before taking his coat off.

"It's freezing out here..." Evan mumbled, shrugging his shoulders.

Dante put his coat on Evan "Come on lets get you back to my uncle's."

"Y-you don't need to do that...I'm fine." Evan said, gladly pulling the warm coat around himself anyway.

"Come on, its warmer there, "Dante said as he started to lead him there.

Evan nodded as he followed, nervously glancing at Jasper. "Who's he...?"

"He's my boyfriend Jasper." Dante answered with a smile.

"Oh..." Evan said with a small smile, nodding. "Right."

Dante smiled as he led him into the house, smiling wider when he saw the twin waiting up.

"Daddy, papa!" Cole said, getting up to go over to them, stopping when he saw Evan. "...who's that?"

Kari followed her twin.

Dante smiled, "He's an old friend."

"He no look old," Cole said. "Vincent old." He added, giggling.

Dante chuckled softly at his son, "No in this case old means we've know each over for a while."

"Ooh..." Cole said, nodding to show he understood. "Who your friend?" He asked.

"Hey Kari." Jasper said softly, going over to pick her up.
